Thought I'd start another riveting thread...

Can anyone recommend a particular brand of wiper blade?

I need replacements and would appreciate your experiences on such matters.

pop down to your dealer and buy a pair, I have tried all sorts of cheaper blades but always come back the the OEM ones as they give better life in my experience

I was in a hurry and ended up at Halfords- they had a choice of two but they didn't stock the Bosch ones, and couldn't wait for them to be delivered so I had to use their own brand.......Looking back I should have just bought a hammer and done away with the windscreen instead! Don't know what the Bosch ones would be like but next time I will be getting oem.

I know this sounds daft but aftermarket wiper blades are often the wrong size. Next time anyone buys some try comparing oem and you will see a slight difference in length. It's mad but often true.

I got the Bosch Aerotwin pack a few weeks ago and they have been perfect. I think Bosch are the OEM supplier to VW as well

Me too, I don't bother experimenting with other makes/models, as the originals are fine. Probably as case of you get what you pay for.

I use German and swedish for all my spares you can choose between oem or recommended parts. Never had a problem but sometimes Audi genuine parts can be cheaper.

Just phoned local VW garage, they are just short of £30 for the pair!!

I paid £24 and some change just the other week from VW.

A friend paid £50 + VAT for OEM blades for a Renault Megane!! :yikes:

Suddenly VW seem reasonable!

Ouch would not have thought that Renault would charge that much for wiper blades!

checked online/halfords and in the end the cheapest option was the vw garage and they fit them!
