Hi,

I have had my golf for a few weeks now, but there is one thing bugging me. Who ever valeted it, used a horrible product that has left white marks every where. I have managed to clean most of these except for the black trim that runns up the pillar in between the back and front doors.

Does any one have any ideas how i can clean these and get them back to looking pretty. I tried back to black but that just created a new set of issues.

Kind regards.

Hi, just out of interest did you have your car Autoglym Lifeshine treated ?

Hi mate sounds like dried wax on your trims,
sounds silly i know but peanut butter works a treat for removing dry wax

hey,

I bought the car second hand, so dont know if it was applied when new.

The peanut butter thing sounds interesting, what would i do? Rub it on then clean it off, or leave it for so long?

Cheers

not sure then !! try asking on or pm 'elitedetailer.com' via this forum. he is the guy who covers all the valeting etc and is the sole sponsor on this forum. he seems to know everything there is to know about car detailing/valeting/cleaning etc.

Yes mate simply rub in using an old toothbrush (softer bristles) and it should come off as the peanut butter will soften the wax,
but it definately sounds like dry wax you got any pics?
