Hi all,
I have a MK3 Golf 1.9TD on an M plate which I purchased in November (for £650!! with a full service history!). Anyway, checking about the vehicle I stumbled upon the alarm system. It seems (I think) that the previous owner has removed the fuse in the fuse box for the alarm. If I replace the fuse, what will it do? I don't know if the car has an immobiliser and I don't want to put a new fuse in only for the immobiliser to cut in and leave me stranded. The alarm fob on the key works due to the red light lighting up when the button is pressed.
Can anybody see my predicament?
I want my alarm working! But I don't want to mess up a perfectly good car!
Should I just stick a new fuse in or should I go and see a specialist?
Any advice would be really appreciated,
