Eject button sticking in VW RCD300 ;(

Hi Guys,

My car is out of warranty and the eject button (RCD 300) is starting to stick in and is not ejecting the cd anymore. Has anyone come across this before and is there a quick fix? Or is it a money maker for the dealer? -thanks

Do you mean the button itself is sticking or just that when you press the button, the CD is not ejecting all the way out?

The button is sticking in and I can manage to get it back to the correct (out) position. But when I press it again it sticks in and doesn't eject the CD, no matter how hard I press it.

Sounds like it's been pressed too hard in the past and has now damaged something behind. You could try taking the radio out and opening it up and doing a little investigation. It might be possible to clean and repair it. Failing that a replacement may be the only option.

Not heard of this problem before.
