I am looking to buy the new golf, and after browsing through the brochure at the colours I thought I wanted the dark blue or the dark grey.

But after seeing the cars in the flesh, I think I prefer the Georgina blue.

What colours does everyone else have/prefer?

I opted for the Georgia Blue and am more than happy with it.
I was initially thinking of the Shadow Blue but it was darker than I thought it would be when I saw it in the flesh. :approve:
What it boils down to is personnel preference.

Reflex Silver for me, never looks dirty and easy to hide marks/chips when they occur.

The dealers had 1 in the showroom when i ordered my golf, i thought it looked ok, it will certainly stand out on the road

Just about to place an order for a Golf and was wondering what peoples thoughts are of the two blacks (Non-Metallic and Deep Pearl)!?

I have seen both in the flesh at my local dealers and its hard to notice the difference from a distance.

Anyone care to share their thoughts on both colours!? I am happy to pay the extra £410 for the Deep Pearl but at the mo thinking its better spending it on an option.

Thx!

Candy white for me:

I was in Spain a couple of weeks back and noticed that the majority of new cars where I was are in White at the mo. While I was there i saw a new Golf in White with the Vancouvers and I didn't like it much.

The white looks nicer with the Bilbaos though - Looks like a good combo from the picture.

Well, I'm 51 and the missus is 48 and we both agreed that Georgia Blue was too 'old pensioner' for us! Black looks great when clean and sparkly but we've gor a black Focus at the mo and apart from showing every dink, chip and scratch, it's a bugger to keep clean. We've ordered a Steel Grey 3 door GT.

Tornado Red (solid) for me. My Golf was sitting at the dealer's when I bought it, but hypothetically, if I had ordered one, it would probably have been the same colour - not sure metallic paint was worth an extra £400 to me, and trying to touch up chips etc. on my old Aluminium Silver A3 has put me off metallics as a long-term proposition!

Something else that appeals to me is that Tornado Red, I believe, is a colour with some heritage - the same shade seen on many Audi Quattros and Golf GTIs of old.

Plus, there no excuse for someone not seeing me at a junction (in daylight at least) :D

I've gone for steel grey GT, with silver as second choice (however, as a factory order, think i'm getting the SG !).

Must admit, plain Red looks good to me, however Mrs Gilesme persuaded me otherwise.
