Reversing lights not staying on

Hi,

Just noticed today that when I put the car into reverse, the reversing lights come on as normal.

When I move backwards, the reversing lights then both turn off and then seem to come back on when I slow down (not just because the brake lights are on, this is independent)

Any suggestions?

Is this something that would be covered by warranty?

Yes it was the reverse switch and it was covered by warranty.
