A3 rear coil spring....help!!!?

Hi all, i'm new so apologies if i'm posting in the wrong area!

I have a A3 1.8T Sport (2000), rear coil spring has gone and i've been told i need the sport chassis coil?

firstly - i can't seem to find one (other than going to audi who want £57 for it)

secondly - I've been told i could just buy a lowering kit (quoted at £88) and do all of them instead

thirdly - some people have told me not to use a coil unless its specifically for the sports chassis, others have said it doesnt matter....


Any thoughts? many thanks in advance

There should be coloured dots on the spring, these are a code, it will tell you what spring you need.
Springs should be changed in pairs
