airbag fault..how to fix via VAG COM

hi d .. i need ur help.. its urgent for me ...please help me ... the problem is that i have a passat b6 "07 with a MFSW for a reason i removed the steering wheel then i putted it back on and after putting the cables at thier places and finished the process .. the airbag logo keeps lighting on my guages on the dash... plz how to fix this prob. am worried of this prob. really. plz try to reply me no . " i kept my car in the garage until u reply me" ,,,, AND IS THERE ANY PROBLEM IF I USED MY CAR WITH THIS WARRNING LIGHTS ON..Thanks alot :confused:

Do you have VAG-COM? You need it.

You can still drive the car but the airbags may not work in an accident. Most garages can switch off the light for you so don't panic.

did you disconnect the battery first, if you disconnected the air bag without doing so the controller will have notice and logged a fault. Get a Scan done clear the error and see if it comes back.
