Airbag Fault!

Just today this has been displayed on my dash. Airbag Fault!. Do I need to get it VAG COM or is it possible to disable the alarm as it is bloody annoying? :zx11:

Only a scan can identify the faulty area and without fixing the fault you can't turn it off.

No its annoying for a reason, you need a scan to determine what's wrong.

One tip if its going to take a long time to fix, if you disconnect the airbag controller, you get a yellow light but no dis reminder. the controller is located behind the centre console. Don't follow haynes to get to it its wrong ( found out hard way)

Best to get it sorted really.
