My Audi Symphony 6 cd stereo needs replacing. There are a few on ebay.... the first 3 digits of the part number are different-i think this refers to the car it was installed in. Does anyone know if one from an A4 would work in an A6? Theres also a letter at the end of the part number which varies. Does anyone know what this one means?
Thanks,
Dave.

dave you could try ringing bridgend audi, always been helpful to me (asked them some stupid questions in the past), Cardiff seem a bit of when you want information. or re-post on a4 forum. come across a few stereo whizz,es in the past there.(no offence ment to a6 members)

The facia's are slightly different sizes - so they probably won't fit or have a gap around them. The letter's at the end of the part number indicate a version change.
Generally you really need the same part number to ensure it's 100% compatible.
