Hi i have a 2000 (W) VW polo mk5 6n2 with the 1.4 8v mpi engine.

I was windering it it is much bother to fit a k&n induction kit conciderin the engine is fully covered in a plastic cover.

Does anyone know if an induction kit will make much difference, is it worth going for it or not?

Cheers Bryden

I wouldnt bother with a induction kit personally. Reason being that it would just suck in hot air from the engine and defeat the object. they only really work if you have v.good supply of cold air entering it.
Ive just ordered a K&n panel filter to try. will let you know how it goes.

i used to have Mitsubishi Colt, Older version model, and had the panel KandN filter in that, tried different typesof filters, the panel filters did seem better.

I agree, only good cold air flow for induction kits....

trouble is, KandN only do filter for very few Polo engines :(
Iv also had a look at pipacross as well....still no luck :(
