A3 1.8T low boost?

Hi there, just got a T reg 1.8 T yesterday:biglaugh:. feels a bit sluggish for 150bhp, i know its not the lightest car in the world but its not right. been checking the forum for advise. think my DV valve has gone as i can hear it chirping on gearchange 2-3000rpm, is it worth sticking a uprated one on or go for a genuine part. also feels flat seems that they have alot of problems with MAF sensors is there a way i can check before replacing?

To check the maf you need to read the values using vag-com. to see if its in spec.

You can get a new maf for around £50 and give it a go.

I would also check the pipes for leaks if you getting a hissing noise, before spending money.
