Got a golf gti 150bhp diesel and i can hear a bearing like noise from the gearbox (sounds a bit like a noisy diff) . Usually worst at about 50 mph in 5th or 6th gear. Just wondered if the box is about to go pop or they are all a bit noisy and just plod on like it for years . Thanks any comments appreciated,
