whine when cold

MK 5 tdi on 55 plate.

Car makes a strange whine when cold when going thru the gears.

If engine revd when stationary, no problem. Dealer has checked pipes etc. :confused:

I've got the same on my Audi A4 2.0Tdi. When cold there's a slight high-pitched whine that goes when the revs pick up. Did you get to the bottom of the problem?
