Who stole the insides to this car's turbo???

Okay amusing one for you, and me. Had a tdi in with no boost, at all (green, what the boost should be, yellow, what the boost actually was):

More diagnosis appeared to point to it seized, so I pulled the intake pipe off it, got a mirror up there and looked in after I couldn't feel anything by hand......

Oh dear. Me thnks this motor hasn't had a FSH no expense spared, do you?

Anyone got a spare VNT15 that will fit a 2001 Ibiza???? :confused:

isnt it reassuring to actually find a definate problem like that. no guess work involved etc..., but where did all those little bits go to ? me thinks it might need more than a new turbo:mad:.

Yes at least I found the fault lol. I don't think there are bits, you can't see so clear but in this pic:

taken with a service mirror you can see to my eyes it doesn't look like a broken shaft, someone has had this off for sure and I think they have done something to it to block off teh middle. Looks like writing like a ground down bolt head in the middle. Can't really see enough unless I pull it!

oh dear god, i think you may be needing a new turbo, reckon sometime it has seized up or snapped and the idiot has just taken broken bit out, i'd check all pipes to intercooler etc, maybe get them flushed out, there has to be some filings knocking about somewhere that after fitting new turbo will have the boost to make them airborne. dont think they would get past intercooler as its probably a little oily and caught small filings, scary though eh bet that was running a little rough

KKK Turbo Fabia VRS Polo or Golf upgrade
Turbo came of a 2005 Skoda Fabia 130bhp which had about 41k miles on the clock and is in excellent condition. It may also be able to be used to upgrade a Polo 100PD, Golf 110 or Golf 115bhp engine.

Also a Turbo from a VW Mk4 Golf GT TDi 115 110 bhp.
Turbo from my VW Mk4 Golf GT TDi 115bhp engine code AJM. I believe it will also fit the 110bhp Golf with engine code AHF.

Engine VW Seat Skoda 1900 diesel AJM, Cylinder Head.
1900cc diesel engine from a VW Mk4 Golf GT TDi 115bhp with engine code AJM. It was running before being removed but it does have a crack in the back of the block which leaked coolant out not into engine!
It’s an ideal donor engine if you have had a cam belt go. The cylinder head, crank shaft, conrods, pistons & sump should all be useable.
It also has a clutch fitted which again was working fine.
This may also be suitable for Seat or Skoda that is fitted with the AJM code engine.

Just let me know if any are of interested. If you want to collect it, it can be from Stockton on Tees on a week end or I can bring them down to Peterborough for a week day collection.
