Changing rear brake light Mk5 Golf

Hi, after a bit of help...

My off-side rear brake/rear light has gone and I'm having difficulty changing it, I've pulled away the plastic trim around the boot and the carpet lining which exposed a plastic socket (fairly easy so far I thought...) but after taking the socket off I am no closer to getting to the bulb.

Is it a main dealer job or is it achievable with basic tools and monkey hands?

Going off at a tangent, can you recommend some sticky break pads for my 170 with a remap?

nope, i just use the standard ones.

I can tell you how to change them though.
