Hi,

On Wednesday I collect a used 2006 Audi A4 2.0TFSI S Line Avant with 18" factory fitted wheels, really looking forward to it.

One thing I want to verify is the tyre size and speed rating that should be fitted. I have purchased the car from an Audi dealer.

Could someone tell me what the size of tyre and speed rating should be, I want to check this when I collect the car.

Thanks Chris

I have 235/40/18 on my tyres but I can't remember the speed rating, the tyres should also be extra load rated.

Thanks for the info, the Audi sales man has said the tyres on the car are Y rated, this is one of the things I will double check before I hand by cash over.

What brand of tryres do you have?

W, Y, Z and ZR rated tyres are fine for your car.

What sort of price should I be looking to pay for 235/40 18's? I have a quattro and will change all four at the same time so looking for a mixture of price and performance.

Over £100 a corner for a top quality make like Bridgestone, which I use myself.
