Brake Light/ Fuse

Hello,

Am relatively new to VW's and would appreciate any help you experts can offer...

I have a Mk4 reg 1.4 Golf and am having a problem with the NS barke light.

It was not working, and so replaced the bulb. After doing so it keeps blowing the fuse (10 amp). Have tried a few bulbs, but the same result :-(

Any thoughts?

it sounds like a short on the holder,or the n/s wiring.
that's asuming the fuse doesn't blow if the bulb is left out and only offside is fitted.
not sure if the fuse is correct. you could try removing the offside bulb and fit only the n/s.
if the fuse still blows it must be that side that's wrong,if it doesn't blow it may simply be too
small for both bulbs,and a 15amp may help?
my bora doesn't list a seperate fuse for brake lights, only abs,and esp.
