View Full Version : Please Help 1.8t auto 02 51 plate passat...is there life in the old girl yet?

Following on from my post in November 2008, we are still no further forward with our poorly Passat. She had a recon gearbox fitted, new ECU, speed sensor and she still won't recover....

Any ideas for this mint condition car that is just too good to break....

As above - gearbox seems to be the problem as the car is jumping gears is goes for 20 mins or so and then will only go into 1st gear. Recon gearbox fitted, speed sensors changes and new ECU fitted .... Been to VW Master tech, 2 gearbox specialists over 2k spent already and still broken...

IMHO Faulty Recon gearbox fitted. Go back and if nessersary pursue a claim.
