Xenon bulbs

Can I retrofit xenon bulbs to my 2005 A4? If I do will it make a big difference to the lighting?

Yes.

But if you mean the proper Xenon bulbs and not the Halogen look-a-likes then you will need the whole kit with ballasts etc to 'fire' the bulbs.

And yes it improved the light on mine alot. Much 'easier' on the eye when driving at night. Road sign are also much clearer.

Don't know as I have the full HID Xenon kit.

The aftermarket Xenon style bulbs or upgraded bulbs do offer a better light but still not as good as proper Xenons. But some upgrade bulbs like PIAA can be gettin towards Full Xenon HID kit money anyway.
