gearbox types

I have a golf mk5 gt sport tdi 140 and have been having trouble as the pressure plate keeps sticking a KNOWN problem by vw!!!!!!! Am demanding gearbox and clutch change I think i have a kNS gearbox apparently there are two does anyone know the other sort please?
