I have a Mk5 Golf 2.0 GT TDi 2004, the 'emissions workshop' light came on a few weeks back, according to the manual as long as the light stays yellow and doesn't flash not a major problem. Anyone had the same problem/know how to resolve? :zx11:

Welcome to EGR stuffed club!
You might have one or more issues. You will need to take the car to your VW dealer for proper diagnostics with VAG-COM system. If the car feels the same as before, try to run it at high legal speed and push the pedal to the floor 2-3 times and drive in 3-4 gear for 5-10 minutes at high speed. I'll try to explain why - most likely your EGR system stuffed with black sludge from unburned diesel fuel and oil vapors. You will need to get rid of it somehow and short "high temperature" drive is one way of it. Have a look at links to see the big picture, but there are other faults accosiated with that warning lights, so it might not be so bad.
