I have a mk5 golf tdi '07 its done 68k i'm on my fourth set of front tyres the rears have never shown any signs of wear until recently the inner 3 cm of each is bald, making it look like both rears are toe in, i did have a big hit to the near side rear in the winter destroying the alloy and tyre vw checked rear end said it was fine- Any thoughts??

Hi, not uncommon for tyres that are old to start to wear sides off, this can sometimes be worse when there are mismatched brands on front/back however you definately need a wheel alignment when you replace those tyres.
