Hi

I am a new member and would appreciate some help. The release handle on the glove box on my 2001 Passat has partially broken. I am sure I can superglue it if I can get at it. Anyone tell me how to separate the outer skin of the glovebox lid from the inner one so that I can get at the mechanism please.

Looking at the picture I have, it looks like the glovebox lid is all one assembly, apart from the barrel part of the lock. These retail for around £50 plus vat complete.

I am not sure if it is possible to split the lid to enable you to get inside to do the repair.
