I'm considering swapping the 18 in repro RS4 10 spokes on my 2002 3.0 litre cabrio for a set of original 17x7.5J 5 spokes. The 10 spokes look great but the ride is too hard for some of our local roads.
My local dealer gave me the part number of the original wheels for my car as 4F0 601 025 AF and I've found a few of these about as singles but most of the sets of wheels on ebay which appear to be the same 5 spoke design have the code 8E0 601 025 E.
I found a useful wheel catalogue site at -
http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q_how_to/wheels/17_audi_5x112.htm
but can only find the original 5 spoke design shown with the wheel code beginning with 4F0, (supporting what the dealer told me).
So, first question is does anyone know the difference between the 4F0 and 8E0 wheels??
I know I need 5 x 112 studs and a 45 offset although I've seen some great looking 17 inch 10 spokes that have a 43 offset.
Second question is, would this slight difference in offset matter??
Thanks for any help.
