Replacing Tailgate.Does it fit!

Hello, I've got to replace my tailgate before the window falls out.
I've got a 1993 Passat Estate 1.6 Tdi and I've got a possible replacement from a 1995 Passat Estate 1.9 Tdi. Can't view it in the flesh have to get it sent .
Does anyone 'know' whether it will fit. Cheers.

Hi I just did this a few weeks back.It fits,but there is a lot of hassel with various articles,wiring harness,struts,bottom locking device,and the tail lights on your vehicle do not match the design of the 95 taigate.
