Is it a complicated job fitting cruise control to M1 TT 2002 The stalk sells at £32 at VAG parts. But where do you buy the wiring loom needed, and does the system have to be reset up or will everything registar and work when all the componants are fitted.AUDI dealer says they have the wiring made up.(where)they wont tell me.Plus they want £350 to do the job, which they say takes 1-2 hours.

If your in the London area, there is a bloke on e-bay who will supply and fit all-in for £150

Top bloke, did mine, his user name is Hazydayz.

Further to this does anybody know the details of what to do? i don't really fancy paying somebody £150 when I can do it myself, but I need to know that apart from the switch and the loom, is that all of the parts you need? I have been given some numbers for the connections between the bulkhead plug and ECU - has anybody done this, and if so can you confirm which numbers off of the ECU plug go to where on the bulkhead plug?

That's what I'm trying to find out. I've got all the parts and I've made up the appropriate parts for the loom, but I need to know the pin numbers. I'm paying somebody £100+ for something that I can do myself!!

The harness is only £22 genuine. What engine code and car do you have Steve? Do you have a registered version of VAG-COM?

It's a "BAM" engine code in a 2001 1.8.
The only harness I need is from the bulkhead connector to the ECU - but I can make this myself (previous typo!) provided I can find out which cables go to where.
