Air Mass Meter

Hi, Just wondered if anyone can help, I rang audi and asked them for the part number for the correct air mass meter for my A4, they gave me 074 906 461, so ordered one, had it delivered only to find they have sent me an air mass with the part number 074 906 461B, but because i ordered it off awell known internet auction site, they wont do refunds or exchanges, despite a few very heated phone calls. Can anyone tell me if there is much difference with the B on the end (I pressume there is), and if it will actually be of any use to me.

Put the part number into Etka and see what it can be used on.
It may be revision B of the same part or it may be a different version.
Ring Audi and ask them, they told you the information you required the first time.

The "B" is for 8E-2-000 0001 on with AWX, AVF or BKE .
Without the suffix is for 95-97 with 1Z, AFN, AFF, or AHU
