i gave my brother a spin in my a4 and i think he nearly done the clutch in. It was not really good before but now its worse when i put my foot down in high gears it revs high and does not pick up speed (does not happen all the time) does this mean the clutch needs to be replaced immediately or will it be ok for another few weeks or so. Is this a big job or is it something i could tackle with my trusty haynes manual. its quattro too if that makes any difference

I'd give Crasher (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/member.php?u=6324) a PM, he'll know ;)
