Bumpy a3

Hi. New to this forum but have joined to get info on a problem that has recently developed with my car. I have a 2003 Audi A3 3.2 V6. I have recently noticed that when I reach a speed of 60 mph or more the car feels as though it is running over little bumps in the road. There are no other probs apart from this and it only occurs at the speeds mentioned above. Could it be the tracking and has anyone experienced the same prob.

Welcome aboard!

It could be any number of things.

I'll start at the cheapest and work up!

Tyre pressure - buy a cheap home tyre pressure gauge/footpump and take cold readings

Wheel balance - any tyre fitter can do this, avoid the obvious no-no places though.

Tracking - again, most tyre places can do this, as can the dealer

Tyres wear - most expensive, but most important

Thanks for your quick response. I thought it might be something like that, I will check it in to the dealer and hope that it is the cheap option!
