... 'blind manual for rear side windows' fitted to their new B8 A4?

Was it worth it? Are they any good?

PS Need some info before I add to my new car order tomorrow!

Had these on old B7- good if you have children, useless if not- I never used them :D

I have the Audi OEM retro fit blinds on my B6. It's ordered them on my B8.

I lost too many screen sucker things down in side the door with the stick on ones so just went OEM. No regrets.

Had them on my B7 Avant as it was part of the lifestyle pack promo they had on at the time I bought the car. they were useful for the kids in the back tho, however on really sunny days they didn't really keep the sun out.
I've gone for privacy glass this time on my Q5, but I'm not sure how much sun they'll keep out.

btw the manual blinds are the usual Audi quality, and roll up very neatly inside the door, with only the lift flap and two small tabs showing when it is retracted inside the door.

I pondered the tint instead but didn't for a few reasons :

[1] I can't get used to the front's not being the same tint as the rears. Makes then look weird to me.

[2] You can't open tints - when it's not bright/hot my son likes them open

[3] I don't think they keep enough sun off.

Having said that I think the blinds could be a little better tailoured i.e. for OEM you'd expect the fitment to exactly match the window countours and they don't.

IMO. Privacy glass is all about looks...... and it looks great on my ice silver sline.

We dont need use the stick on sun shades with out little'n in the back.

Unfortunately you can't get the privacy glass as an option from Audi on the saloons, Avant option only! :confused:
