Hello all. Bit of a newbie here having just bought my second A4, but thought i'd join your clan!
Have actually just had a laser parking device (yeah right) fitted, and had seen that some people install the switches in the dash, or behind the airvents, but I asked the chap to remove the cigarette tray (the bit that pulls out to clean) as I don't smoke (and wouldn't let anyone who does inside!!) so it's not needed.
The advantage is that it doesn't damage the dash or anywhere else, and you can flip the lid down at night so the flashing green LED doesn't bug you! Plus of course it's very easy to deactivate if required

Laser unit is installed in the grill under the plate as usual, though on the A4s apparently the grill slots are the perfect size, so you don't even need a bracket to hold it in!
