Audi ECU Coding...

Hi guys

After a lot of looking I have managed to find an ECU unit for my Audi A6 Avant which controls the windows. Will I have to go to an Audi dealer to get this coded to my vehicle? How much does it normally cost?

You don't need to go to the dealer. First get the coding and channel adaptations from the original. Make sure the the used one fit the Audi. The part numbers could match but the index code may not. Consult the dealer first with the VIN and original part number. If it fits, recode the used version. Search the posts for "Immobilizer", I have an interesting post there for your issue.
