Hi, looking at booking my A4 1.8T quattro S-line 2004 60K miles into stafford Audi for a cam belt and waterpump replacement (or see if my local Audi dealership will price match!)

I have decided to replace the waterpump with the original audi plastic impeller one as i have read about some overheating problems with metal ones (Audi should have 2 yrs guarantee).

Does the tensioner damper need doing as this will cost approx £80 extra, are they usually replaced or will they last until the next belt change?

i only change these if they come in the kit or if they are faulty
