a good day to everyone! this is my first posting so please be gentle. I have a Audi A6 1998 triptronic Auto with best descibed as a slipping gearbox. as i changes between gears it acts like i did a kick down! it revs high then drops when gear has changed... this is killing my MPG and god know whats its doing to the gear box. I would appreciate any personal or professional and friendly advice you can offer.

is this an Audi dealer problem or something i can look to do.

many thanks for reading this!

help me pleasee:Blush2:

i have had heard of this before have you had the vehicle scanned for faults ? the brake light switch could be faulty sending the wrong signal to gearbox ecu good luck

many thanks for the post!

i have checked the pedal and brake lights are working fine... i cant see anything wrong with the switch.. as for running a fault test No i havent! i will do that and see what faults are reported.
