Hi Guys, I'm suspisious I need my tracking doing and after making a few calls, I'm a bit confused as to which course to take. Firstly the symtoms on my 2003 A4 V6 Tdi are wheel judder around 80mph, but goe's with increased speed (normally balancing problems) and wanders gradually to the left when I let go of the wheel at lower speeds. Also the steering wheel appears to be off centre when on a straight road.

I rang a national company to ask if they did balancing & tracking, to which he replied yes, but became a different matter when I told him what car it was. He said we can't do those, because its a different kit that comes with weights that you put in all four foot wells:confused: Never heard of that before! Anyway he did the balancing and he said they were slightly out, but he said he'd do it free of charge;), because he said its most likely the tracking and most owners come back because the balancing didn't work:( I decided to ring a specialist VW & Audi independent company called PSi tuning and he charges £45+vat, but thought the weights in the footwells was a load of nonsense and the tracking wasn't an issue for him!! Anyway he couldn't fit me in today, but now I'm bemused. Don't mind paying the right money if its the right job, but which is the right one?

Thanks for that! Means shelling out over £100 just to get tracking done!!:( At least it gives me a good excuse to test down the motorway;)
