Catalytic Converter AUDI A4 1.6i

Hi,

My Audi A4 1.6 needs a new catalytic converter. There are 3 different converters I find online to buy.

1. Catalytic Converter AUDI A4 1.6i (ALZ eng with OBD) 8/98-9/01
2. Catalytic Converter AUDI A4 1.6i 8/97-7/99 (f/p & cat)
3. Catalytic Converter AUDI A4 1.6i 11/94-7/97

There is a model number on the engine the reads ALZ 088604. Can I assume the Converter ALZ eng with OBD is the correct part.

Those parts look like they are for a B5 but you've posted in the B6 section. When was your car built? The numbers after the part description are dates (month/year).

It's an Audi A4 '03

Have just checked the Bosal site and for the ALZ engine the cat is the same part for 08/98 - 09/01 as it is for 12/00 - 12/04. From that, it is likely that the correct part is the one you suggested.

Great thanks, that Bosal link helped a lot. I would be confident enough that CAT 099-602 for the ALZ is correct.
