View Full Version : VAGCOM - cooling system settings

Hi - Can anyone help me regarding where i go in VAGCOM to monitor my coolant system - i.e. when the thermostat opens the valve - what temp its at - etc - basically all coolant related things.

go into measuring blocks,you might have an advanced blocks menu if you have look in there and tick the boxes that you want to see.if not just scroll through the numbers untill you see coolant temp,you wont see when the thermostat opens though your best way of seeing that is with an oscilloscope

Read the measured value block for the coolant temp, you can use vag-scope to graph the coolant temp sensor in VCDS. The bottom rad hose will get warm as the engine temp rises then quickly get hot when the stat opens, the rad fan should cut in and hold the coolant temp at around 90 degs.
