Rocker Gasket Gone!

I've just been informed by the garage that the rocker gasget has gone on my 2001 A4 1.8t, causeing oil to leak.

Does anyone have an idea as to how much its gonna cost, is it a big job etc? Just so i've got an idea when they come back to me with a rediculously high price for doing it.

Probably no more than a tenner and is an easy job to do as its right ontop of the engine and not much has to be removed to remove the cover. An hours job if that. Easy DIY job with a socket set and tightening sequence.

I would expect a dealer bill to do it around £60-70. Parts and hours labour.

Its not detrimental to the negine obviously unless the leak is bad and you loose all the oil, its nothing like a head gasket replacement.
