Hello, My wife has a 2003 beetle 1.8t with 15000 miles on the clock! (engine code AWU) and it runs perfectly well,
except that since the spark plugs were changed in january last year, the engine management light comes on occasionally. the VAGCOM reading is....
16502/.... engine coolant temperature circuit-high input (low temp) or engine coolant temp.sensor (G62) signal too high: P0118
17608/.... boost pressure control valve (N249): mechanical malfunction: P1200
Is it anything to worry about and does anything require replacing and if so would it be easy for me to do! and whereabouts would I be able to get the necessary parts from aside from a VW dealer! It passed it's MOT early August with no problems!
Thank you

First. Please don;t post the same q in more than one section, It will lead to confusion.

As for your issue. G62 is important as its the Engine Temp sender for the ECU. It can cause the engine to run Rich/lean ect £30 for part 1 hour to replace.

Boost pressure control is the vacuum pipe for the variable vane turbo, usually a case of replacing the pipe first, not expensive, but can be difficult to locate leak

I apologise for posting the above in more than one section, wasn't sure which was the best one to post it in, and thank you very much for your reply.
