polo idle problems

working on a 1.0 polo engine code AER. Very irratic idle Trouble code 01087 basic setting not performed,signal outside tolerances.
i tried reseting throttle body at correct temp with snapon solus but didnt help,i had cleared codes and rechecked but still there
Ive now purchaced Vagcom,
when i adapt throttle body i know to goto
01(engine)
measuring blocks (08)
Group 098 then basic settings,
im going back to car on monday with vagcom if i cant clear codes how to i reset to factory settings before i adapt throttle body thanks

Yeah mate throttle butterfly spotless, idle control controlled electronic on this one
