Engine speed sensor

I understand my 2004 A4 quattro has the engine speed sensor on the transmission. Any info. on exactly where it is located and how to replace it?

Hi On the 1.8t engine the speed sensor is on the rh side looking at the fly wheel just behind the oil cooler/filter. M6 BOLT 10MM SOCKET.
Can be a bit of a job I removed the oil filter for easy access.
