Audi A4 Rear Wiper Relay Location

I own an Audi A4 Avant 2002 and recently the rear wiper was switched on and now will not switch off. I am guessing it is the relay and was told ithat it is located in the tail gate. I have looked in the tail gate without any success. I have disconnected it for the time being but would like to get it sorted and any advice with this would be great.

They replaced the whole motor assembly on mine when it did this - that was under warranty though so I have no idea of cost to do this in real life :)

You can buy a new motor complete from GSF / ECP for about 70 quid.

Had to do this on my Passat, quite an easy DIY job.
