Hello again.

Im looking to retro fit a set of Xenon lamps to my 2002 A4. Can I buy a complete light unit with xenons, or just the bulbs? Help as always greatly appreciated!

Hi mate. You'll need to buy the whole lamp because the part holding the bulb is different and also you'd need the ballasts (aka power packs) that power the bulb to make it give a much higher intensity to halogen bulbs. If you buy bulbs seperately they'll cost you about £120 a side as they are special D1S bulbs and the ballasts are about £250 each from Audi. Coincidentally I started a thread yesterday because I'm considering selling my set of A4/S4 Xenon Headlights from my B6. If you're interested then let me know, I'm not really sure what they're worth thought to be honest as I haven't been able to find the same ones for sale anywhere...

Hey, thanks for the post!

Is mine a B6 then? (2002) in theory then, your lamps would fit directly in to my car? its a bit of a minefield this lot!

Yea B6-8E is the chassis code. The lights just plug straight in with no wiring/mods being needed which is quite handy.

Sounds good, let me know if you decide to sell them, maybe send over some pics etc? Speak soon
