Central locking fault

Hi,

I have an 03, 225 TT Coupe.

About a month ago the central locking started playing-up, it wouldn't always lock/unlock using the the fob, which I thought was the fob battery on the way out.

The remote locking has now stopped working completely, I changed the battery but no joy, I can only lock/unlock manually with the key.

Does anyone have any ideas or fixes?

I know this is old but we have had this before and we had to get a new key fob not just a battery
