Im considering part ex'ing my mk4 golf for a mk1 TT. But before i start looking in depth i was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers in what to look for etc? many thanks:Blush:

I owned one for three years, a 2001 180.

The only problem I had was a failed haldex four wheel drive control unit. Expensive at £1,000 but fortunately covered by warranty.

The instrument pod failure is also an issue and well documented on here if you do a search.
