Hi all
first time post. I have an A6 2.5 tdi sport cvt 2002 with 72000 miles FSH not audi.
I have just had my car recovered back to my local garage with a suspected timing belt problem. The car starts but after a couple of minutes you can smell burning from the engine bay and when i removed the timing cover the belt looks as though it is about to go.the smell seems to be from what i can only think of as a pulley or roller being seized as the engine runs but seems quite cammy,as the timing seems to be slightly out.I read that you should change the water pump at the same time is there anything else i should get changed at the same time.
