hi can any one tell me on a new 08 TT 2.0T FSI do u have to remove the headlamps to replace the bulbs, if so do u know the job time? many thanks

Yes you do. Which means you need them re-aligning when re-fitted. I fitted phillips extream H7 bulb replacements and it took me an hour to do the first one then about 15 minutes for the second one. Before i started i marked off the beam pattern on my garage door with masking tape so i re-aligned them myself once fitted, alignments seems to be ok.

you should not need to realign the headlamps if you follow the procedures in the owner's manual. Just use the supplied torx and phillips screwdriver to loosed the applicable fasterners and slide the headlamp out (after disconnecting the cables). With experience, you need not remove the two trim pieces, just loosen the top part to gain access to the front torx fitting.

Do not remove them just loosen enough to enable the lamp to slide out.
only fasterner that requires removal are the phillips or cross headed ones.
