intermitent problem headlights +

i have a 52 plate Alhambrs 1.9Tdi SE, i have intermittent problem - no headlights, heater blower, wipers washers & heated screens occasionally won't work, then they're all fine - anyone have any ideas

yeah famous for relays and cheapest option first if not that then ignition switch
