track rod end

hi all.just been out for a ride and theres still a snatching when pulling away.had the car on a jack and wiggled the wheel up and down. no movement but was play from side to side.had the wheel off and the rubber round the balljoint on the track rod has split greese everywere and a fair bit of play. wud this be the cause of the snatch?.

in a word, yes. get a new one fitted and all should be well.
